Who this policy covers

This policy applies to this website and to information you send through it. It does not change the duties of confidentiality that apply once a client relationship is established in a signed written agreement; those duties are broader than anything described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what you provide and what a web server necessarily receives:

• Information you type into the case review form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, the type of claim, your insurer if you name it, and the description you write.
• Technical request data recorded by our hosting provider, including IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the time of the request.
• First-party page view counts, recorded without cookies and without any advertising or cross-site tracking network.

What we do not collect

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media trackers, or third-party analytics that profile you across other websites. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

How we use your information

Submissions are used for a narrow set of purposes:

• To run a conflicts check and decide whether the matter is one we can look at.
• To contact you about your submission, where a response is appropriate.
• To protect the form from spam and abuse, including rate limiting repeat submissions.
• To keep aggregate counts of how the site is used, so we can improve the pages.

Please do not send confidential material

Send enough to describe the situation, and nothing more. Until representation is agreed in writing, information you send through this website is not protected by the attorney-client privilege, and we may already represent someone with adverse interests. Do not attach privileged documents, medical records, or financial account details through this site.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers that process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes: a website host and content delivery network, a managed database and authentication service where submissions are stored, and a transactional email service that delivers the notification of your submission to the attorneys reviewing it and the confirmation to you. We do not transfer submissions to any other party except where the law or a court requires it.

How long we keep it

Case review submissions are held in an access-controlled system available only to firm personnel who need them. Submissions from matters we do not take on are retained for up to two years so we can run reliable future conflicts checks, then deleted. Records connected to a matter we accept are retained under our professional record-keeping obligations.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, submissions are stored with row-level access controls, and administrative access requires an authenticated account. No system is perfect, and no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please use the judgment described above about what you send.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from, to request a copy of it, to ask that it be corrected, and to ask that it be deleted. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, submit it through the case review form or write to us at the office address below, and say clearly which right you are exercising. We will verify your identity by matching the details in your request against what we hold, and will respond within the time the statute allows. Some records must be retained despite a deletion request where a professional or legal obligation requires it; if that applies, we will tell you.

Do Not Track

Because we do not track visitors across other websites, browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change what this site collects.

Pages on this site link to statutes, regulations, the California Department of Insurance, and State Bar licensee records so you can verify what we describe. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
